Unbelievable… what are we thinking?

The end of summer and boating season will come to an end soon in the northwest. Beautiful and expensive yachts will be heading home to their winter marinas to be prepped for next year. Tourists and mariners alike will spend the upcoming winter reveling in their summer’s adventures and bragging to friends about their recent adventures. Whales, dolphins, bears, eagles, and salmon stories will abound around Thanksgiving tables as we from the west stuff ourselves with abundance. To those who do not know, all is good in the world.

BUT PAY ATTENTION!

The Seattle Times announces although the legislature has spoken out against open pen salmon farming after the disastrous escape recently, it was announced today that 800 thousand Atlantic Salmon will be allowed in again! How stupid are we as a species? Even with history smacking us in the face, the Washington state government is opening the doors to even more of these franken-fish?

I mean really? How can the citizens sit back and allow this travesty of justice. Was the problem not addressed and solved? Talk to your government officials… hell, go to the streets and demand them gone. This is important.

I read the article and heard all the crappy excuses of why, but go to hell. It is time we citizens of the earth demand that government follow our wishes. I realize America is no democracy even though we are brain washed to think so, but make your opinions known, TODAY.

Do you want wild oceans? Do you want Orcas and eagles and clean rivers? Hell yes I say and it is time for others to let the officials who make these laws know. Forget what an idiot Donald Trump is; Don’t let fake news and propaganda distract you. Make “your” government throw the bastards out or quite frankly do it yourself. As citizens, bankrupt the company with your consumer dollars. Make their presence uncomfortable to all involved. Blacken their names for all to see. Recall your officials and make them afraid to concentrate on anything else until they fulfill their obligations. We as citizens can make these men and woman who claim to represent us worry about their jobs. Throw the bastards out unless, and/or until they listen. The future of not only orcas, eagles, and wild salmon at stake… it is our future. We need biodiversity, and nature to survive.

It is time today, as no time in the past to drive a stake through the heart of open pen salmon farms. Get out there and do it today before it is too late.
